How NewRiver is stress-testing its portfolio

In a recent article run by EG, Pui-Guan Man looks at how real estate investors and owners are using INCANS® scores to help quantify the future cashflow at risk caused by potential tenant defaults.

Until now, there has been no standardised approach to pricing tenant default risk, with many investors forced to use backward looking company credit reports to try and answer a forward-looking question. NewRiver REIT explain how they are using our quantitative analysis to effectively project the likelihood of occupier failures over a one to 10-year horizon. These real time measures give them a live, ever moving picture of risk across the portfolio, allowing them to provision for and mitigate future risk.
