Retail

Jollyes reported an 8.7% rise in annual revenue to £169m, with like-for-like sales up 4.3% - with plans to more than double its estate from 123 to over 250 stores within five years (Retail Gazette, 9 July 2026).

Tesco is reportedly exploring a sale of its 561-store Central European business across the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia as it increases its focus on the UK and Ireland. The division generated £4.49bn in sales in 2025/26, while adjusted operating profit fell 0.9% to £115m (Retail Gazette, 9 July 2026). 

Logistics

DPD has agreed to become the first tenant at Tritax Park Queens’ Cambridge, taking a proposed 5,800 sq m parcel distribution hub. The wider scheme is expected to comprise around 82,868 sq m of industrial and logistics space across five units, subject to planning approval (Parcel and Postal Technology International, 6 July 2026). 

Other

Blue Owl Capital and Moor Park Capital Partners completed the £1.3bn acquisition of 12 UK acute-care hospitals operated by Spire Healthcare, expanding Blue Owl’s European net lease and healthcare real estate strategy (BE News, 9 July 2026).

Volkswagen has outlined a restructuring plan through 2030 that would halve its model range, cut vehicle variants by up to 75% and reduce annual production capacity to around nine million vehicles. The group did not confirm reported plans for up to 100,000 job cuts or four German plant closures but said further cost reductions were needed after first-quarter net profit fell 28% to €1.56bn (Euronews, 10 July 2026).
